Business Continuity and Risk Manager
The Business Continuity and IT Risk Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining strategies to ensure the organization’s critical operations and IT systems can withstand and recover from disruptions. The role also includes identifying, assessing, and mitigating IT risks while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities
Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- Develop and maintain the organization’s Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify critical processes and systems and their recovery priorities.
- Coordinate regular testing and drills to ensure the effectiveness of continuity plans.
- Work with cross-functional teams to establish recovery strategies and contingency plans.
- Provide training and awareness programs to staff on business continuity practices.
IT Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and document IT risks, including operational, cybersecurity, and compliance risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular IT risk assessments and audits to evaluate controls and processes.
- Monitor and report on risk metrics, incidents, and mitigation efforts to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, ISO 27001, or other relevant standards.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of business continuity and IT risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301, ISO 31000, NIST).
- Familiarity with IT systems, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across the company hierarchy.
- Ability to develop, implement, and update IT risk management and business continuity policies.
